Cobalt Digital Wins Two Future Best of Show Awards at 2026 NAB Show

Manufacturer Recognized by TV Tech and TVBEurope for Innovation in signal processing

LAS VEGAS — May 4, 2026 – Cobalt Digital, the leading designer and manufacturer of signal processing products, and a founding partner in the openGear® initiative, has received two Future Best of Show awards at the 2026 NAB Show. The company’s COBALT® blueCORE™ platform was honored by TV Tech, while the COBALT® PACIFIC ULL-DEC decoder with SAT-DEMOD was recognized by TVB Europe.

All of Future’s Best of Show Awards are evaluated by a panel of engineers and industry experts – selections are based on innovation, feature set, perceived value and application in serving the industry.

“The products nominated for the Best of Show program, provide an outstanding overview of new technology on the show floor and shine a spotlight on the very best,” said the awards editorial team.

Making its worldwide debut at 2026 NAB Show, the COBALT blueCORE™ line of compact standalone signal processors caught the attention of TV Tech’s judges for its ability to bring all audio and video processing functions required for live production into one single 1RU device. Suitable for both SDI and ST 2110 workflows, blueCORE’s self-contained form factor makes deployment fast and simple, enabling users to power up, connect signals, and operate immediately – with or without a computer. Support for both SDI inputs and outputs (copper and fiber), four channels of 3G processing – or one channel up to 12G, along with access to ST 2110/IPMX inputs and outputs ensure blueCORE provides a path for infrastructures transitioning to IP.

Recognized by TVB Europe, the COBALT® PACIFIC ULL-DEC decoder with its new SAT-DEMOD factory option addresses evolving distribution challenges as regulations require the remainder of C-Band spectrum to be auctioned. The factory-installed DVB-S/S2 demodulator supports hybrid satellite-internet workflows allowing satellite to handle primary distribution while the Internet recovers lost packets. This approach enables reliable delivery across Ku and Ka bands and aligns with emerging standards such as VSF TR-06-4 Part 7.

“Cobalt Digital has always responded to industry challenges with tools that put our customers ahead of the curve, and this year is no exception,” explained Suzana Brady, SVP of worldwide sales and marketing. “We’re proud to be acknowledged by both TV Tech and TVB Europe for solutions that help our customers remain competitive, productive, and successful across a wide range of operational environments.”
