Heartland Video Systems Partners with Zixi for Resilient IP Contribution Solutions

PLYMOUTH, Wis. — October 20, 2025 — Heartland Video Systems, Inc. (HVS), a premier video systems integration, consulting, and expert ATSC 3.0 implementation firm announces that it has partnered with Zixi for enabling broadcast quality live video delivery over any IP network. This partnership allows customers to have HVS engineer and deploy resilient IP connectivity solutions for any IT environment.

The collaboration comes at a critical time as the broadcast industry undergoes significant transformation toward IP delivery systems. HVS brings extensive relationships with major station groups including recent successful deployments with Nexstar and the CW Network, positioning this partnership to drive widespread adoption of resilient IP connectivity solutions across the U.S. broadcast market.

Zixi provides software solutions for broadcast and live video workflows that deliver unmatched quality, reliability, interoperability, and security at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Zixi solutions have enabled use cases in the video delivery industry for content owners, broadcasters, service providers, sports organizations, and OTT providers.

DTV broadcast facilities have existing fiber / IP network connectivity; HVS and Zixi enables video content contribution or signal distribution to OTT providers by combining hardware appliances with Zixi software to run in any IT environment. Solutions from HVS and Zixi will enable customers to deploy cost effective IP contribution, signal distribution, or point-to-point STL/TSL connectivity using a variety of dedicated appliances, third party commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) servers, or hosted in the cloud.

HVS is known for its expertise in the end-to-end broadcast facility with exceptional customer service and support, and HVS will provide the first line of customer service for these IP delivery solutions. As part of this partnership, HVS will offer integration and implementation support for these IP delivery solutions, helping broadcasters achieve secure and reliable IP connectivity within their existing infrastructures.

This partnership represents a significant step in bringing enterprise-grade IP delivery solutions to the broadcast market through HVS’s established network of relationships with television stations and station groups. The timing aligns with the industry’s accelerated adoption of IP-based workflows and the need for reliable, cost-effective contribution solutions.

“As broadcasters look ahead toward more cost-effective IP-based workflows, ensuring reliability and security is paramount,” said Dan Whealy, President of Heartland Video Systems. “Our partnership with Zixi enables us to deliver resilient, software-defined contribution solutions that maintain broadcast-grade performance and flexibility across a wide range of IP environments.”

“Heartland Video Systems brings invaluable market knowledge and established relationships that will accelerate the adoption of our IP delivery solutions across the U.S. broadcast market,” said Marc Aldrich, CEO of Zixi. “Their expertise in broadcast facility integration combined with our software-defined approach to video delivery creates compelling value for customers seeking reliable, cost-effective IP contribution solutions.”

Heartland Video Systems will be exhibiting at the National Association of Broadcasters New York event (NABNY) at the Javits Center in New York City, NY. The event takes place October 22-23, 2025. HVS will be in booth 465 where attendees can learn more about the Zixi partnership and discuss these integrated IP delivery solutions.

The partnership announcement comes during a strategic period for both companies, as the broadcast industry increasingly seeks alternatives to traditional contribution methods while maintaining the reliability and quality standards required for professional broadcasting.
