IBC2022: TVU Networks’ New Look and New Connections

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – August 31, 2022 – Driven by the company’s continual product development, TVU Networks, the market and technology leader in cloud and IP-based live video production technology, will demonstrate exciting updates to its cloud-based remote production ecosystem at IBC2022. TVU Networks will exhibit in Hall 5, Stand C73 during the show, which runs from September 9-12 at the RAI Amsterdam.

TVU routinely releases features to make the customer experience simple and seamless for live event production. As a result, TVU’s cloud production platform is highly regarded for its innovative and comprehensive approach to multi-camera live production over IP. In addition to new products within its platform, several recent integrations will be on display during IBC.

“We’re constantly listening to our customers and partnering with industry-leading companies to provide greater functionality and creative freedom,” said Paul Shen, CEO, TVU Networks. “We integrate with other cloud infrastructure on a continual basis so that our production platform is the mo

st centralized and inclusive on the market. We’re adding essential tools directly into the TVU ecosystem, which saves producers valuable time and increases their options when producing live events. We’re dedicated to creating a seamless and thorough platform to create the best possible live video.”

New Additions Power Up TVU Ecosystem

New to the TVU cloud production solution is TVU RPS (Remote Production System) Link Encoder which allows multi-channel REMI production over 5G cellular networks. The TVU RPS Link Encoder is compatible with the existing TVU RPS hardware decoder as well as TVU’s cloud ecosystem, including the TVU Producer live streaming and production platform, TVU Partyline video collaboration tool and TVU Command Center for centralized signal monitoring. All RPS transmissions in the Cloud can be controlled and monitored using its built-in encoder web interface.

Another new module is TVU Replay, a multi-camera control sports app. TVU Replay enables officials to instantly review play during games and for producers to include that live video within their coverage. The app has two modes – Review and Replay. The Review mode enables officials and coaches in game to immediately “review” any close call from their phone or tablet. Running within the TVU Producer live production platform, Replay provides all production elements necessary to output clips to any device. The app is as simple to operate as any smart phone interface. The centerpiece of the TVU ecosystem, TVU Producer enables users to manage camera inputs, live feeds, audience interaction and audio mixing.

New Integrations for Seamless Production

Integration with top technology providers has always been essential to the success of the TVU live production platform. At IBC this year, TVU will announce an integration with Stream Deck from Elgato. Stream Deck is a physical control interface device popular with gamers streaming on Twitch and YouTube. Using Stream Deck to control live production from the TVU Producer platform makes seamless production easy for a new generation of content creators. Shortcut keys can be mapped for transitions, clips, overlays, and even ad insertions from TVU Producer onto the Stream Deck device for simple, one button control. Follow TVU Networks on social media for a chance to win a Stream Deck during the first three days of IBC2022.

Recently, TVU and Flowics announced the native integration of the Flowics’ cloud-based graphics engine into the TVU Producer cloud-based production tool. After user verification, the familiar Flowics remote control interface appears as an active window inside TVU Producer. This is an addition to TVU’s extensive live graphic overlay integrations, including those with Singular.Live and Dizplai.

Remote, Streaming and SCTE Updates
Remote PTZ camera control and instant streaming are also new to the TVU cloud platform at IBC this year. PTZ cameras can be controlled from TVU solutions at remote locations for live streaming to all social media accounts with one click. Content distributors can easily insert their ads into a producer’s stream using SCTE triggers. A variety of SCTE standards are supported within the TVU cloud-based production ecosystem.

TVU will continue to launch new technology in the run up to IBC, including a small but powerful device for unparalleled stability when live streaming from crowded and/or remote locations.
