Interra Systems to Focus on Media Quality, Visibility, and AI Automation at A.B.I.S. 2026

Interra Systems Exhibitor Preview
Asia’s Broadcasting & Infotainment Show (A.B.I.S.) 2026
Oct. 22-24, 2026
Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, India
Stand: O03

At Asia’s Broadcasting & Infotainment Show (A.B.I.S.) 2026, Interra Systems will showcase its latest innovations in automated QC, media monitoring, captioning, and video analysis —helping broadcasters, streaming providers, and media companies address the growing complexity of delivering content across linear, IP, and OTT platforms.

As one of the leading providers of end-to-end quality assurance solutions for the digital media industry, the company will demonstrate its BATON, BATON Captions, ORION, and VEGA solutions. The focus will be on helping media organisations maintain consistent quality, improve operational efficiency, automate resource-intensive processes, and troubleshoot increasingly complex video workflows with greater accuracy, simplicity, and efficiency.

According to Ormax Media’s latest OTT Audience Report 2026, India’s growing digital video audience makes these challenges particularly relevant. The country’s OTT audience reached an estimated 664.9 million people in 2026, while its connected TV audience increased 60% year-on-year to 206.9 million. Active paid OTT subscriptions reached approximately 172.6 million. As audiences consume more content across platforms and devices, media organizations need to manage greater volumes of video while maintaining quality, accuracy, and compliance.

“India’s media industry is rapidly expanding across broadcast, OTT, connected TV, and IP-based delivery. Media organisations are managing more content, formats, and distribution endpoints, while expectations for quality continue to rise and teams are under more pressure to do more with less,” said Bibhas Kumar Samanta, sales head, India and MENA at Interra Systems. “At A.B.I.S. 2026, we will demonstrate how Interra Systems is using AI and automation to help media organisations manage this growing complexity more effectively. By combining intelligent monitoring, automated QC, captioning, and in-depth video analysis, we help broadcasters and streaming providers detect and resolve issues faster, scale workflows efficiently, and deliver a consistent viewing experience on every platform. Whether deployed on-premises, in the cloud, or in hybrid environments, our solutions improve operational efficiency while keeping teams ahead of evolving regulatory requirements.”

Interra Systems Solutions on Display at A.B.I.S. 2026

Interra Systems’ intelligent, workflow-integrated solutions provide deep format and protocol expertise. Scalable automation allows media companies to monitor, analyze, and manage media operations efficiently as volumes and complexity grow.

ORION Suite — Solving the Visibility Gap in Streaming and Live Operations
As streaming environments become more distributed, maintaining clear visibility into viewer experiences is more challenging. Interra Systems’ ORION monitoring platform gives media teams continuous, end-to-end visibility across linear, IP, and OTT delivery, helping them identify issues before service quality is affected — with the latest ORION release extending that visibility deeper into 4K, IP, and production workflows.

ORION also streamlines live production with an integrated multiviewer and enterprise-grade upgrades to ORION Central Manager — strengthening operational “backbones,” and providing a secure, scalable foundation for live sports, news, and streaming across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.

Key linear and OTT monitoring highlights on display for ORION and ORION-OTT include:
• Real-time multiviewing with BATON Media Player integration for instant playback and debugging of error-triggered and ad segments.
• Support for NDI, Zixi, JPEG-XS (ST 2110-22), 4K over SDI and ST 2110, plus real-time 4K@60fps deep-dive analysis.
• Enhanced AI/ML frame corruption detection and reference-based (VMAF/PSNR/SSIM) and no-reference video quality scoring.
• Latest SCTE-35 (2023) compliance and DASH manifest template validation for reliable ad monetization and OTT delivery.
• ORION Central Manager provides workflow-wide consistency reporting, PagerDuty alerting, and temporary alert suppression.
• Enhanced OCM probe access enables secure remote connectivity when direct client access is blocked.

BATON Automated QC — Maintaining Quality at Scale in a Streaming-First World
As streaming libraries expand and viewer expectations for flawless playback rise, media organizations need QC processes that are faster, more accurate, and easier to scale. Interra Systems’ BATON automated QC platform provides consistent, automated quality and compliance checks across high-volume workflows. By minimizing manual review, BATON supports greater operational efficiency, tighter cost control, and stronger brand protection — priorities that carry particular weight for premium live and near-live content such as sports, where speed, accuracy, and reliability are essential.

At A.B.I.S. 2026, Interra Systems will showcase BATON, the latest version of its automated QC platform. The release features enhanced audio and video quality checks designed to improve accuracy, reduce false alarms, and expand detection capabilities for more dependable automation and fewer manual rechecks.

Key technical highlights:
• Faster ProRes decoding and AV1 multicore analysis, with Dolby Vision and Atmos validation, enhanced text/subtitle checks, and detection of HDR color bars, QR codes, logos, motion jerk, and freeze frames.
• Built-in assistance chatbot, web-based Service Manager and automated dashboard health alerts, plus improved database and API performance.
• Production-ready IPv6 and Workload Identity federation for secure GCS and OCI cloud storage.

BATON Captions — Ensuring Captioning Accuracy and Compliance Across Global Audiences
As global accessibility standards become more demanding, accurate and compliant captioning is now essential to both service quality and business operations. Interra Systems’ BATON Captions goes beyond speech-to-text to address the practical challenges that affect real-world delivery, including timing, placement, multilingual support, localization, and regulatory compliance — requirements that are especially critical for live and near-live programming such as sports, where captions must be delivered quickly without sacrificing reliability.

The latest BATON Captions enhancements accelerate captioning workflows, improve transcription accuracy, and simplify compliance management for streaming and broadcast teams. Building on core capabilities, the latest release includes native support for RHEL 9 and Rocky 9 environments, a web-based editing interface, Whisper AI integration, and advanced localization tools. The newest updates further include:

• “Maestro,” a new built-in AI assistant for instant, contextual product guidance, plus AI-generated content summaries and scene tags for profanity and violence detection.
• Caption comparison for localized versions, dynamic MNC/MNR calculation, and TTI Extension support to prevent text truncation.
• Enhanced STL export with legacy control codes, character sizing, UK Teletext character enforcement, and automated burnt-in text overlap correction.

VEGA Media Analyzer — Debugging and Compliance in an Evolving Standards Landscape
As new codecs, HDR formats, and delivery specifications enter modern media workflows, validating content and pinpointing technical issues grow more complex. Interra Systems’ VEGA Media Analyzer gives engineering and operations teams the tools to verify compliance, diagnose stream problems, and ensure interoperability across streaming, broadcast, and hybrid delivery environments.

Recent enhancements include support for AV1 and VVC, faster multicore analysis, built-in chatbot assistance, broader cloud compatibility, and upgraded diagnostic tools that improve reliability and shorten validation and troubleshooting cycles. Built-in perceptual quality scoring with VMAF, PSNR, and SSIM turns subjective quality assessments into objective, measurable results — whether teams are tuning an encoder, validating a vendor, or isolating an artifact visible only to viewers.
